Yin, Sound and Chill

 

6-7.15pm, First and Third Sunday of the month with Josie and Luke.

Yin and Yang, Two halves which come together to complete wholeness.

Yin Yoga is a slow paced style of yoga incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yin yoga works deeply into your body with passive longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. The Yin class will not be heated, the class will consist of a series of mainly floor poses particularly focusing on the lower part of the body, hips, pelvis, inner things, lower spine using props to assist.  Energetically yin improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. Yin complements an active life, great to help those who feel distracted by mind chatter. Yin is finding stillness and cooling of the body, great to do alongside the Yang practice of our Hot Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

The teacher will guide you through the poses, explaining and demonstrating ensuring your are comfy they will offer adjustments and props to assist you. This 75 minute practice will be complimented by sound healing. Sound healing is an ancient practice that harnesses the power of sound vibrations to promote healing and relaxation. It is a powerful therapy that combines different healing sounds, music and sound healing instruments to improve multidimensional well-being by creating a beautiful experience where all levels of your energy field body, mind, soul and spirit are awakened gently and lovingly.

Transformational Breathwork

 

6pm-7.30pm, second Sunday of the month with Leanne.

Breathwork moves us away from abandoning our deepest layers and befriending each and every part of us so that we can live presently in wholeness, balance, and reverence.

Leanne will be guiding you through Transformational breathing.  A conscious powerful breathing technique, that can transform your life.

On the physical level, deep diaphragmatic breathing allows oxygen to reach our cells and organs, increasing our energy and helping to detoxify and cleanse our bodies. Stimulating circulation and balancing the flow of energy through the body.

On the mental-emotional level, it helps reduce stress, relieves depressive and negative emotions and promotes feelings of calm and peace.

On the spiritual level, full, conscious connected breathing can help us connect with our higher selves and tap into our innate wisdom, releasing trapped emotions from the body creating deep healing within.

No experience is needed, everybody is welcome. (You should not attend if pregnant)

Sound and Movement Session with Maia –  27 October

 

We are really excited to announce that we have Leanne and Genevieve coming back to the studio to offer their session to you.

This session combines yoga with the powerful vibrations of live sound and vocals.

The music guides you through your vinyasa practice, finishing with a sound bath as you sink into your shavasana.

They will take you on a journey of movement and music, using the healing vibrations of acoustic guitar, crystal bowl, shamanic drum, the voice and more…

They create a safe space for that sacred rest and relaxation. The space for you to go inward, to reconnect to you.

Using movement to shift any negative or stuck emotions you may be holding onto, then use sound to go deeper. To send you into a meditative state, where your bodies can go into repair and healing.

This comes to you straight from their hearts, combining what they love to create a powerful experience to help you feel a better version of yourself.

Autumn Rituals Day Retreat –  20 October 10.30-3pm

 

Join Josephine of this day of wellness, a day to connect to the rhythms of the season.

We will journey through a range of practices, returning home to ourselves and setting our intentions for the months ahead.
